SEAN BRUNET
Sean Brunet is the owner and founder of What A Tattoo in Lachine, Quebec. A professional tattoo artist since the shop opened in 2003, he has built a strong reputation for precision, creativity, and clean, high quality work. With over two decades of experience, Sean continues to bring passion and artistry to every piece, earning the trust and loyalty of clients from across the region.
Sean specializes in black and grey work and is highly skilled in cover ups. His tattooing style is passionate and expressive, shaped by imagery with strong emotional or artistic impact. He is deeply motivated by helping people correct or transform tattoos they are unhappy with, and he takes pride in restoring confidence through improved work.
His approach is unique because clients feel immediately comfortable with him. Sean has always worked at What A Tattoo, the studio he built from the ground up, and he maintains a safe, professional, and welcoming environment. Although he enjoyed drawing as a child, tattooing quickly became his true artistic passion because every piece allows him to leave something meaningful with the person wearing it.
Sean is also an experienced body piercer. He uses only the highest quality professional needles and has built a strong reputation for safe and precise piercing. He offers infant ear piercing starting at three months old, a service many parents specifically seek him out for due to his steady hand, patience, and trusted technique. Throughout the years, Sean has tattooed and pierced three generations within the same families, a powerful sign of the long lasting trust his clients place in him.
He is certified in sterilization and proper hygiene practices, and his studio is equipped with top grade tattoo and piercing equipment. Sean is patient, offers fair pricing, guarantees his work, and is committed to creating a calm, friendly, and positive atmosphere during every session.
The projects he enjoys most are cover ups and tattoos with deep personal meaning. Outside the studio, Sean is a husband and father of two daughters, now 18 and 14. He wishes they wanted to spend more time with him, but he knows they love him and are simply growing up. When he is not tattooing or piercing, he enjoys motorcycle rides and time on the water.
Sean accepts walk ins, bookings, and wait list clients. He can be contacted by phone, the website, Facebook, email, or whatever method is easiest for each client. He loves custom projects and is open to discussing face tattoos, although he avoids doing them as a first tattoo or on younger clients.
At the heart of it all, Sean believes something simple and deeply true about his craft: he became a tattoo artist because your beauty is worth his time.

ALAIN M MICHAUD
From a young age, Alain was known as Scribbles, a nickname given by classmates because he was always drawing. What started as a childhood habit grew into a lifelong passion that eventually led him into tattooing. Alain is a talented, self taught artist whose dedication to his craft guided him to complete his tattoo studies at What A Tattoo in Lachine, Quebec. After receiving his certification, he was offered a position at the studio, where he has now worked for over six years.
With ten years of tattooing experience and over six years as a professional, Alain has built a reputation for clean, long lasting work that does not require endless touch ups. He specializes in black and grey, and is known for his precision, especially when working from reference images. His artistic influences range from pop culture, anime, and comic books to classical painters like Rembrandt, whose lighting techniques inspire his approach.
Alain comes from a strong drawing background and brings that discipline into every tattoo. He wants clients to know how passionate he is about giving people something they will be proud to wear for life. He creates an easygoing, friendly atmosphere during sessions, usually filled with jokes, laughter, and occasionally him singing along to CHOM 97.7 on the radio.
Outside of tattooing, Alain enjoys simple things like video games, anime, drawing, and relaxing. His favourite themes to tattoo include black and grey portraits, faces, the female form, and anything visually beautiful. He is always open to custom work, walk ins, and bookings by phone, email, or Facebook. He is generally hesitant to take on face tattoos, but is happy to discuss other ideas.
Alain is known for his creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high quality work. His professional approach and friendly personality have earned him a loyal following and a respected place on the What A Tattoo team.
